Ok, tomorrow, as you all know, GW is coming out. As for me, I am going to explode if I have to wait another day. As soon as I get it I want to play, and not have to spend any time thinking about my build. So, the way I like to play in PvP is to put out a lot of dmg. I like melee combat a lot, but I rather be the one who obliterates everyone else with dmg, than take a bunch of it.

I have not played GW yet, but I will be tomorrow. So I dont know much about builds. Anyone have a suggestion? If its possible I would really like a awsome dmger in melee, but if a mesmer or somthing would deal 10x more dmg I rather be one of them.

So any suggestion on a build for me?

It should give you some solid ideas on which ways to start out from.

check out The New Player Center as well,....being that you are new it may help answer a whole bunch of the basics for you.

Yeah "nukers" will give you awesome damage.

Also, if you wanna melee as you say, look at a nice Offensive Warrior/Monk build.

With Judge's Insight skill and various warrior skills you can pump out some rediculous damage.

its a sword wielding Mesmer/Elementalist that can kick out about 70+ DPS...only skill I particularly disagree with after a rough scan is phantom pain...other than that its a very interesting build (slightly convoluted and energy intensive...but we'll let that go)

I hope you don't go with a warrior monk in the end though...I have a particular fondness for odd builds...(that means...thinking outside the box...as opposed to being crap)...try something new

Warrior/Monk sounds more like what im looking for..seems for of a tank type build though. Anyone have a link to a war/monk build thats for pure dmg? I really like melee combat over spells, so a pure dmg warrior sounds awsome to me, rather than a bombing caster that can die in a couple hits.
